"Singapore Bloggers Charged Under Sedition Act" Slashdotted

I have just got off a night of coding a DVB driver in Vim. It's late and I have a tennis game tomorrow.

What do I do? I go to Slashdot. The first post that greeted my eyes. Singapore Bloggers Charged Under Sedition Act. For those of you who are on cue doing the run-of-the-mill "Free Speech Is Dead" speech, go ahead and click on the link and see what others in other countries think about country's course of action.

I had already read the original article earlier. Frankly, I think they deserve it.

I personally value only capability and integrity. So a person's race is inconsequential. My race is inconsequential. I would get along much better with a well-spoken and intelligent insert_your_race_here than with a foolish Chinese who actually believes in the racist thrash he is mouthing.

So what if you are Chinese and others aren't? It doesn't make you any smarter than them does it? Does it make you tiniest bit more valuable to the world than them? No? Then shut up.

So what if you are Chinese? Keeping racist forum entries and blogs? Foolish. Attracting enough attention to get yourself hauled off to court for it? You tell me.

Oh. And you made Slashdot.
