Another Wireless Router
Right after I got my clothes, I went to get myself another wireless router.
I bought a Netgear WGR614 at $72 for use in hostel. My laptop and development workstation need to share an internet connection. I could have popped in a wireless PCI card into the workstation and make it double as an access point but since it's used for driver development, it wouldn't be a unreliable access point.
A router with WEP would have been cheaper but I got WPA-PSK so I could concentrate on development instead of worrying about security.
Routers should be easier to resell and also came with extra NAT protection so I didn't get a switch. The fact that it looks good and is compact is a bonus.
